El Tapatio Restaurant in Indio

Very good lunch on a Sunday. A bit noisy with the Mariachis, but it was fun. Just don't expect a quiet Sunday meal. Do expect excellent service and food!

Great place to have a cheap date. 1 dollar tacos: Can't be that. The only thing I would recommend is having a stage for the music group who plays there. The group was playing behind me and could not here the other party. Overall, I would recommend the food and try to find out when the music group plays in order to know when is not the best time to go for a date.

Great Mexican food. Went there three times on our recent trip to Palm Springs. Each time the place was full of Mexicans (a good sign) and the food didn't disappoint. The guacamole was particularly good.

People if you want really flavourful Mexican food this is where you want to go... Simple, clean decor. Very cold beer in a frozen glass.. the food tastes like somebody's Abuelita's is in the kitchen cooking. The salsa is a good reason alone to go. (Ask for the green salsa especially). The food is authentic and very tasty.. I suggest the Chile Guerdo's (roasted Chile's with shrimp and cheese).. I get goose bumps there so good..

Great service and good prices

FOOD TAKES FOR EVER. SUPER SLOW SERVICE!If you are going for a lunch break, expect to be there for at least 2hrs. I've tried this place before multiple times, hoping they will get better but every time they seem to drop the ball. The last two times I've gone it takes them up to an hour to bring the food out. I end up canceling the order and promising myself not to come back.While I was waiting this lastime, the people next to my table (also waiting for food) told us they also stopped coming for a while because they take so long to serve food. I guess their cheap taco prices keep giving hope to people and that's why we keep coming, hoping they'll be better this time. But they are not.

Bomb cheap Mexican food!

Some friends took us here for dinner while we were visiting from out of town, i highly recommend. We got the chicken enchiladas, the fajitas mix, the carne asada fries, ceviche, and micheladas. Everything was absolutely delicious. My friends (locals) said the tacos are always amazing too. Live mariachi music too. :) Everyone was so nice too. ♡

A top site for delicious Mexican food. It was so tasty. Service is typically good. Prices that won't break you. Food is similar to a cafe in Portland I liked.

Bomb chilaquiles. Good food overall. Usually a long wait on weekends. Occasionally you get conjuntos or trios come in to play live music

You get your money's worth on the tacos. Not small or skimpy on the amount of meat, chicken or pastor look like other taco shops around here..

Food so good

Been eating at Tapatio for over 15 years. Sadly the service is getting worse and worse. I only now occasionally eat here the only thing left that is still good are their Chabelas. The service is always horrible.

To be honest, my wife and I talked about the reviews for Tapatio before we decided to go. Some of the reviews suggest going somewhere else. After our visit, we are glad we chose to eat here.We arrived just before lunch and there was a crowd but we were seated right away. A man walked in carrying a guitar as we ordered mixed Fajitas with beef, chicken and shrimp. Two other men joined guitar man and started playing music as our food arrived. That's when I took the picture of the food.You can see how good it was ! The picture doesn't lie ! GO TO TAPATIO'S !

The tacos here are so good. I have been here 3 different times. Iv had tacos de caveza and el pastor. They taste like legit authentic street tacos. I like that they only use one sturdy totilla instead of doubling it up. I would give this place 5 stars but service is really slow everytime. Our server was super nice and polite but it takes forever to get food to actually come out. It feels like they wait for people to order in bulks before they start cooking the food in the back because no one had food in front of them when we came in and than all of a sudden all the orders came out all at once. I would eat here again and I do recommend this place for good tacos just get ready to wait for them.

The Best Chavelas 🍻

One of the best restaurants hands down in the entire valley. The music is loud but it's fun when there are live music groups. The prices are economic.

Friendly staff. They really stepped up the speed of the food. Staff always takes care of you, and they have really good prices. And the food tastes amazing.

The food is always amazing! I'm addicted. It's usually busy when we go in but I've never had to wait long for service and they're all very friendly!

Came here after a bad experience at San Miguel's taqueria grill, not the best looking restaurant but had very friendly staff and meats were good, they had tacos al pastor for $1. Micheladas were very good.

Their tapatío refreshing drink is a must. Yet on this visit was not available. Prices and good food.

Great food and great drinks and fun atmosphere. Will recommend and return.

Their jukebox was extremely loud to where guests had to yell their conversations so you had to yell over them and the music to talk. Food was a bit overpriced for the service and quality.

Great little place to get great Mexican food

Seafood is amazing. I recommend the 7 Mares. If you see negative remarks it’s probably the competition making those remarks. We live inSB and we are always trying to find an excuse to go out to the Indio area to visit this restaurant.

Food good service is okay open late during the week

The food was good. Their service was prompt and prices were reasonable. Extensive selection on their menu. A little too much cheese on the sopes for my wife's tastes.

We love this place!!! Authentic food and delicious. Good selection of beer. Nothing fancy but clean. Friendly staff. Did I mention dollar tacos Monday - Thursday???

Reàlly good food

The food is delicious, it's definitely authentic. However the service could improve by just a little, no one was really focusing on a specific table they were kind of everywhere which made it confusing. They don't come to your table as often as they should.

Decent combinations plates. Rice and beans didn't have much flavor and the Chile relleno wasn't great. Good crispy tacos and enchiladas.

Referred to us by a local. Probably one of the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. Don't listen to the naysayers who said service was bad...we were there on a Saturday for lunch. I had shredded beef tacos and hubby had chili relleno/chicken enchilada combo. Both were delicious and the refried beans were really tasty. Mariachi bands came on to serenade the people. If you are looking for authentic Mexican please try this one.

Food is delicious but I would love to eat it there. 😏
